The State of Cannabis Conference to engage Democratic Presidential Candidates

Long Beach, CA. (June 5, 2019) The State of Cannabis (SOC) is a 2-day conference bringing together elected officials, regulators, and industry for a conversation to properly affect state and national cannabis policy. This year's conference will be a special edition as the Democratic Party will be hosting their Endorsing Convention in Long Beach, CA November 15-17. Within the Convention will be a presidential candidate forum on the 16th which many of the candidates will attend.

Executive Director Susan Soares states, “the State of Cannabis is the premier resource for the Democratic Party as legalization becomes a bigger issue in the 2020 election.” Elected officials and candidates can hear from the industry as the cannabis issue affects other social issues such as economics, the opioid crisis, and equity. The SOC will offer them the convenience to receive education and engage with the brightest minds in cannabis right across the street from the Convention Center in the luxury Renaissance Hotel.

Past speakers include BCC Chief Lori Ajax, LA Cannabis Czar Cat Packer, CA State Assembly Member Rob Bonta, former CA Attorney General Bill Lockyer, CA State Senate President pro Tempore Kevin de León, Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia, CA Senator Scott Wiener, CA Treasurer Fiona Ma, and former US Rep. Dana Rohrabacher.

JustSayCare.org is a CA registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that produces public and private events to provide education about the benefits of the cannabis plant.
