Cancer, glaucoma or positive status for human immunodeficiency virus, or acquired immune deficiency syndrome when the condition or disease results in symptoms that seriously and adversely affect the patient’s health status;

Cachexia or wasting syndrome

Severe chronic pain that is persistent pain of severe intensity that significantly interferes with daily activities as documented by the patient’s treating physician

Intractable nausea or vomiting

Epilepsy or an intractable seizure disorder

Multiple sclerosis

Crohn’s disease

Painful peripheral neuropathy

A central nervous system disorder resulting in chronic, painful spasticity or muscle spasms

Admittance into hospice care

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Quick summary of the Directive (please read the directive for full text)

1.Registered Cardholder daily purchase limits are suspended but monthly purchase limits remain in effect. Registered cardholders may purchase and possess their entire monthly purchase limit at one time.

2.Current registered cardholder renewals will not require an updated physician’s statement. Renewals will be approved for the same time period as the previous physician’s statement. Montanans who are not currently registered can obtain a physician’s statement via telemedicine.

3.Physicians may conduct telemedicine appointments for new patients or patients due for renewal via an audio or video approach.

4.Providers may renew business licenses and receive provisional approval without an in person inspection. Inspections will be conducted at a later date as the health situation permits.

5.Compliance inspections will be limited to complaint driven inspections based on reports that may impact public health, welfare or safety.

6.Fi nger-print based background checks are not required.

7.New medical marijuana licenses and/or canopy tier licenses will not be issued at this time.

8.Medical marijuana providers may hand deliver medical marijuana products to registered cardholders in a vehicle parked immediately outside the dispensary without performing a METRC transfer.
